Philosophy: The Microdelivery Exfoliating Wash

What's on the bottle:
  • exfoliating cleanser that provides immediate resurfacing benefits
  • a 30-second cleansing mini peel that can be conducted in the shower, in the bath or at your bathroom sink
  • regular exfoliation helps buffer fine lines, even skin tone and give the skin a healthy glow
  • gentle enough for daily use

Before I used this product, my forehead just started breaking out a few months back and I don't know why. Maybe it's the weather? I never had much pimple before. Just very seldom. Usually I just get a few whiteheads on my nose area but lately it seem like they've evacuated from my nose to my forehead. And what's worse is that they grow into pimples. And it seem like they won't go away! *sigh*

So yeah, I was hesitant to start using it because I didn't want to start using any new skin care product on my face that might cause more irritation and worsen my skin condition. But I did anyway. My sister has her own bottle of this and she told me how much she liked it. So there, I thought maybe it will help my skin. Before I started using this, I had a few bumps and pimples on my forehead. I use this everyday. Every morning in particular. Here's what I think about it:

  1. Gentle enough for everyday use. The texture is not abrasive at all.
  2. It lathers up really well.
  3. It doesn't dry or tighten my skin after using it.
  4. I know I mentioned in my previous review that Clinique Turnaround Concentrate really made my skin glow. Don't worry I still love that product. But I haven't been using it for a few months now as I ran out of the bottle already and I haven't had the chance to repurchase it again... But anyway, with this exfoliating wash, it actually did also gave my skin a healthy glow.
  5. Believe it or not, with the first two weeks of using this product, I noticed that the pimples on my forhead dried up. As of this moment, while I'm typing this. my forehead is pimple free. Although not perfectly bump free. I can still feel a few tiny bumps. But still, I am VERY happy that this product actually helped with my pimple problem. I don't even think this product contains salicylic but it did made my pimples go away. Maybe it unclogs my pores and gets rid of my dead skin really well or something.
  6. I'm a sucker for anti-aging products so that's another plus for me.
So yeah, that's all. All I can say is that I am very pleased with this product. The result is just... amazing. I am definitely going to repurchase this!

Rating: Very good kitty!

Philosophy: Senorita Margarita 3-in-1

Philosophy's Senorita Margarita Shampoo, Shower gel & Bubble Bath

I bought this product around the first week of December 2009. I took this pic around January because I was meaning to do a review. But I got a bit busy, so the review got a bit delayed. Well anyway, here it is now. =)

So I've been using this for more than 2 months now. I use it as a shower gel and sometimes as a shampoo, too.

Pros:
- I like the idea that it's 3-in-1. Before, I'd use this as my daily shampoo and shower gel. But just because this product is quite expensive, I switched back to my regular shampoo so I could save it up and make it last longer.. But still, there are times when I use this as a shampoo.
- I love the energizing scent. It smells exactly like margarita!
- It lathers up great when used as a shower gel.
- The scent after taking a bath is not too overpowering and it does not stay very long. Some of you might find it as a CON. But for me, I actually find that as an advantage, because the scent wouldn't compete or mix with my perfume or my body lotion (if ever I'm using a scented one).
- It leaves my skin smooth.
- I love how it makes my hair so soft and smooth without being greasy.

Cons:
- It definitely smells like Margarita. The lime, tequilla, everything. So I definitely would not recommend this to be used if you're hung-over. =)
- Price is quite expensive. I got mine at Beauty Bar for PHP 995 (around $20).

Rating: Very good kitty!

Overall this is a very useful product. You can use it as a shampoo, a shower gel and a bubble bath. All of that in one bottle! How cool is that?... I would definitely repurchase again. But I'm also thinking of trying out other flavors. =)

Time to open Christmas gifts!

Okay, so who isn't excited about Christmas? I love love this holiday! I love to shop gifts for my loved ones and I always get so ecstatic waiting for 12 midnight so I could open gifts with my family. =)

I only got one gift that has beauty goodies in it. And it came from my brother! LOL.

My bf actually told me that he went to Shiseido a few days ago to get me something, but he was clueless of what to get. He didn't know what I liked or what I needed. So he got me a bag instead... And the rest of the gifts I received are non-makeup/non-skincare items.Which is okay with me because I love them just the same =)

But since this blog is more of makeup/skincare related, I'll just be posting my brother's gift to me.

Okay so I was so excited trying to open my gift. It was in a Zara paperbag. And I found it too light when I took it and I knew the stuff inside can't be clothes. When I opened it, I saw this:

It's a lip balm from David & Goliath. It's cute! It has skulls. lol. My brother told me that he knew I'd like it cos of the skulls. lol. After that, he handed me another paperbag. And I opened it. And found this:
It's Philosophy's summer skincare rescue pack! It has 3 items inside:

1.) The Microdelivery exfoliating wash
2.) The Supernatural Poreless, Flawless Tinted SPF 15
3.) Kiss Me lipgloss

I love them! My brother mostly gave us all Philosophy gifts except for the guys. I guess he noticed me and my sister raving so much about it... I can't wait to try these!

How was your Chirstmas? Did you receive any skincare/makeup gifts? =)
