Haul: The Body Shop (Mother's Day Sale!)

The Body Shop had a sale for Mother's Day. Most of their items were up to 40% off and their best selling products were Buy One Get One Free (BOGO)! Couldn't pass this opportunity so I went ahead and did some shopping.

Etude House Haul

I took advantage of the ongoing sale at Etude House. All items 20% off! So here's a quick haul post.

When I first heard of the sale. I was kind of sad because I've been spending a lot lately and I promised I won't be buying makeup stuff for a while. All items 20% off is tempting. So I was torn between hauling and not hauling... Well, I asked my bf for advice. lol. And he told me to just limit myself with a certain amount that I can spend. I thought he was going to stop me, but I think his advice was good enough. He is very understanding of my shopping habits. Haha. Anyway, I decided I will not spend more than a thousand pesos.

Did I overspend or not?

Collective Haul

Hi everyone! I'm going to share some of the stuff that I got these past few days (or maybe weeks. I can't really remember. lol). This haul consists of beauty and non-beauty things. :D

First off, here are the things that I got from SM Department Store. I was just looking around and found these. I couldn't resist so I got them.

See my haul after the jump!

Mini Topshop Haul

Hi everyone! I went to the mall last Saturday. And I bought a few things that I liked. I haven't really done a clothing haul before. But I thought I'd do a post about the stuff that I just got from Topshop. I'm just really excited about the shoulder bag so I thought I'd share it with you.

Haul after the jump!

Haul from Singapore

Hi everyone! I just thought I'd make a haul post of the beauty stuff I got from Singapore. Mostly they are makeup stuff. I kind of regret not getting any skin care product (aside from the Neutrogena facial wash). I won't be posting the clothes I got from my trip because they all are now in the laundry.. Anyways here they are!

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Mousse Cleanser - a gentle hydrating cleanser. Rich, cushiony lather effectively foams away impurities, while a special hydrating agent adds back moisture so skin remains clean and soft.

Maybelline Total Clean: Express Makeup Remover - makeup removal and immediate softening. (I'm not sure if we have this in the Philippines, but I haven't seen one before so I thought I'd try it.)

Maybelline Eyebrow Pencil by Eyestudio - in grey

Bobbi Brown Corrector - in peach

Bobbi Brown Concealer Kit
- in beige

Urban Decay Primer Potion

Pop Beauty Cat Eyes - go from I don't know how to MEOW! lol.

Makeup Forever Aqua Eyes
- in black

My mom bought some things from Lancaster and the nice lady from the counter gave her a lot of samples. She also gave me these 3 Lancaster samples. Revolcanic deep moisturizing gel, Revolcanic Eyes deep moisturizing anti-fatique eye care, Eye Makeup Remover Soothing & Non-Oily. I have never tried any Lancaster product before so I am really excited to try these samples. :)

Got this cross connector ring. I love it.

And because I love cats and anything with a cat on it...

Puss in Boots from Universal Studios

Cute cat keychain from a store that I don't remember.

That's all. Hope you guys enjoyed this post. Hopefully, I could do a review about the stuff I got soon. Have a great week ahead!

Japan Trip and Haul

Hi everyone! Here's a little peek on my Japan trip plus haul.

My trip to Japan is just awesome. I love the place, it's super clean and beautiful. I love the people, they are all very courteous. We joined a group tour and our schedule was tight. It was tiring but still fun. I just wish we had more time to shop. Before I share my mini Japan haul, I'd like to share a few photos with you guys from my trip. It's memorable and I'd love to visit Japan again!

This one's from Kyoto. The temples are just so beautiful.
Shin Sai Bashi-Suji, Osaka. Taking my opportunity to shop outside our hotel even if I'm dead tired.

This is me and my nephew somewhere in Universal Studios Osaka. We were so tired and the weather was freezing cold.

Fuji-ten ski resort. You can see Mt. Fuji on the background behind those trees.

We also went to DisneySea and Sanrio Puroland in Tokyo. Here's Hello Kitty!

Crazy Harajuku street on New Year's day! Unfortunately, I didn't see any Harajuku girls/boys that day. The place was too crowded.

And guess what, most (if not all) of the hotels we stayed are carrying Shiseido products on their toiletries. From Shampoo, body wash, to facial wash. Everything's Shiseido. Amazing isn't it?

And now for the haul, I didn't get to buy a lot. We were always in a hurry and we didn't have enough time to shop. It felt like we were in the Amazing Race or something... Anyway, I decided that I'm just going to include the makeup and skin care products I bought. I'd love to share some of the good fashion finds I got from Japan but most of them are in the laundry bin because I have already worn them. So yeah, here they are!

1.) Clinique clarifying lotion #2: My staple toner. I needed to restock because I was running out of it.
2.) Clinique long last glosswear SPF 15: I got three in Bonfire, Knockout Nude and Goldspun. The pack came in 5. I gave the other 2 to my sister.
3.) NYX Smokey Look Kit: A mini palette that contains 9 shadows and 2 lip glosses.
4.) Kate BB Makeup Base: Kate is a product of Kanebo. It is targeted for the younger market, I think. This has SPF as well but I forgot how much SPF. It was on the box but I threw it already. As far as I can remember, it was around 32 or 35.
5.) Kate Makeup Remover: Forgot to include this in the picture. But I bought this because there was this one time when we had to move from Osaka to Tokyo via bullet train and our luggage were shipped. Our stuff didn't arrive until the next day and I forgot to carry with me my makeup remover, lucky enough there was a store that had beauty stuff and got a hold of this.
6.) Shiseido Anessa Perfect Essence Sunscreen SPF 50 PA+++: I was looking for this sunscreen, unfortunately I don't think they carry it in Japan. The SA recommended this to me. They came in three kinds. Waterproof (for heavy duty use I think / for sports or swimming), Pearlized one that gave a pearly effect on your face, and the one I got which is for everyday use.
7.) DHC peel off pack: I just though I needed to use some mask for my face. I never tried one before so I thought this would be a great try.
8.) DHC Eyelash Tonic: It's supposed to make your lashes thicker and stronger. I've been using this for weeks and it seems to be working! I seriously love it.

I wish I researched about DHC before I went to Japan so I know which items I should get. They seem to have a whole lot of amazing products but I don't understand what's written on their boxes. It's quite difficult to guess what they are for lol. But the SA's are nice enough to really try to explain what they are for. I also wish we had more time to shop so I can concentrate on my shopping. You know how difficult it is to shop when you know you're running out of time. lol.

So yeah. That's my haul from Japan. I will do more in depth reviews on these items once I have used them for a while. Have a great weekend everyone!

Mini Haul

Hi everyone! This is just going to be a quick post on the stuff I got starting from Christmas and items I just bought recently. I decided that I'll just do a separate post for my Japan haul, which I will be posting soon.. Anyways, here's my mini haul!

Starting with the Christmas goody! I didn't really receive so much beauty stuff last Christmas, I only got one and its this Palladio mineral loose powder. As you can see, the seal is still intact. I haven't used it yet so I can't really tell my initial impression about it. But I am very excited to try it out.

The other two things I got are from Urban Decay. The NYC Book of Shadows and The Black Palette! I know, the packaging is cute, definitely one of the reason why I was convinced to get these two. I wanted to get the Naked Palette as well, but decided against it. Just because I've already got the Too Faced Natural Neutral Palette, and thought that they might just be the same. But anyways, so far I am loving the NYC palette. Love the color payoff. I have used it a couple of times. And I am especially loving the color SMOG. The Black Palette, I haven't used that much yet. IDK why I even bought it (Yes! Because of the packaging and the name!) I rarely wear eyeshadow and if I do, I usually just stay on the neutral natural look. But I thought someday I could use this, when I attend concerts and stuff. Yeah maybe. Hopefully that will be soon! I did swatch it though, and I think it's very pigmented and the colors are nice for a smokey effect.

So that's my mini haul. Hopefully, I can do more in depth review or maybe tutorials with these items soon.

Have a great weekend!

Happy Chinese New Year!

Hi Everyone! I'm sorry I haven't posted for sooo long. So much have been going on.. But I am back with a new layout and a collective haul perhaps. Hauls from Christmas, stuff I've bought from my last trip, and stuff I just recently got. So yeah. I will be posting my collective haul soon.

It's nice to be back. :)

haul from a short trip

Hi Everyone! I am back. I went to Macau last week with my family. I wasn't really expecting much from Macau, I thought it was just like Hong Kong but I was just wrong. It was so beautiful and clean. We stayed at the Venetian and the rooms were just awesome. It was so relaxing. I miss my bed there already. And I want to go back soon. Anyway after the city tour, we still had like two days to do whatever or go wherever we wanted to. We went to Senado Square and there were a lot of shops! I can remember this store called "BONJOUR" that sells a lot of imported and local beauty products. And I think there was also "Sasa" (if I'm not mistaken) that sells a lot of beauty stuff. I was overwhelmed. Too overwhelmed that I didn't even get to buy stuff for myself. I was too busy buying pasalubongs (gifts) and then I realized, why the hell haven't I bought anything for myself yet. Lol. So yeah, I also love the Venetian Hotel because I can go shopping anytime. I just take the elevator from our room and there I am at the Grand Canal Shoppes & the Four Seasons Shoppes! Seriously, there were just a LOT of shops in there. I don't think 3 days is enough to go all through those shops. Unfortunately, I didn't get to buy any clothes. I don't know why, I guess I was too lazy to fit and try them on because I was wearing a lot. The weather dropped to 4ºC and I had to wear a jacket, scarf, etc to keep me warm.

But nonethless, I'm still happy with my new purchases. =)

Some none makeup/skincare stuff that I got:
I've been looking for a nice red and grey bag for so long. But still, I didn't find anything that I liked during my trip. So instead, I got the small black satchel bag and a big blue/brown stripe bag.. I also have been meaning to get myself a black watch, so glad that I waited for this trip to get one. I love it!... And the shoes! I just love these shoes. They are so comfy and the zebra print inside is just so cute! =)

And now for the makeup goodies that I got:

Clinique Superfit in Cream Beige. I've been hearing a lot of good stuff about this and I love that it's oil free. I only have one liquid foundation and I thought I'd try this one out.

Urban Decay Lipstick in Voodoo. I was surprised to see a UD rack at the Duty Free shop inside The Venetian. I got so excited! But they really didn't have a lot. They only had one palette available.. So I thought I'd just get another lippie cos I loved my UD lipstick in Gash.

And lastly, I got two of YSL ROUGE VOLUPTÉ Silky Sensual Radiant Lipstick SPF 15 in #3 (Beige Ultimate) and #21 (Vibrant Brown). So far I'm loving these, I'll post more about these soon. =)

So that's it. I will be posting reviews/swatches soon. Thanks for reading! =)

New Purchase! Gifts! Haul! Happy Face =)

Yesterday was another happy day for me. My brother came home from visiting his girlfriend in Canada. So I was pretty excited because I asked him to buy me some stuff. Aside from the stuff I got, he and his gf gave me nice gifts. =)

My Clinique Supply! I love Clinique's skin care. It does not irritate me (so far). And it really does work for me. I especially love their 3-step-system.

The liquid facial soap and clarifying lotion I can set aside and try other brands from time to time but the moisturizer (in gel) is just the most important one for me. It's the only moisturizer that really is non-sticky plus it does not irritate me. I've tried other moisturizers from other brands like Olay, Murad, The Body Shop, VMV Hypoallergenics, etc and most if not all gave me tiny red bumps.

I already ran out of my Clinique 3-step-system. And I've been using a couple of sample moisturizers the past 2 weeks while I'm waitinitinr my new set to arrive. The last sample I used was the Oro Gold Moisturizer (will do a review about it later), sadly it didn't work for me so I am very happy to finally get my hands on my new Clinique set.

The stuff I repurchased from Clinique:
  • Liquid Facial Soap Mild
  • Clarifying Lotion #2
  • Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel
The new stuff I'm going to try from Clinique:
  • All about eyes
  • Super rescue antioxidant night moisturizer
  • turnaround concentrate visible skin renewer
I hope these new products will not irritate me. =) The stuff came with a free pink beach bag with a bamboo handle and a free lipstick in Raspberry Glace. The beach bag is nice, although I would prefer sample makeup and skin care over the bag =D

Here's a swatch of the Lipstick. It's a bright pretty purply pink rasberry color with shimmer.

My Mom also got the clarifying lotion, but sadly the bottle broke off. All the product inside spilled. Too bad. =( They were all inside my brother's luggage. It probably broke off in the airport as most luggages are not handled properly in there.

Aside from the Clinique stuff, I also got the Mac fluidline in blacktrack. I love eyeliners and I don't have any gel ones yet so I thought I'd get this one after reading good reviews about it.

I also got Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Stress Control Power Clear Scrub. I don't have any pimple as of the moment, but I do get a few whiteheads every once in a while. Hopefully this will help. I'm planning to use this just once or twice every week. As too much scrubbing could hurt our skin.

That's all I got from my brother's trip. But aside from my purchase, he and his girlfriend got me some nice gifts =)

Here's their belated birthday gift for me. The Vera Wang Rock Princess Perfume! Me loves it! Love the packaging and the scent. I think it suits my personality. Lol. I can't get over it. I keep looking at it and smelling it. =)

They also got me a couple of beauty stuff from Victoria's Secret.
  • Beauty Rush Lip Gloss in Slice of Heaven
  • Beauty Rush Luminous Shadow - I haven't opened this one yet. But when I shake it, I could hear a ball inside it. lol. Don't know what it's for. Probably an eyeshadow base or something. Does anyone know? I'd really love if anyone would tell me what it is. =)

Oh and there were a couple of samples but I got only 2 of them. Gave the others to my Mom and sisters. I got the Vera Wang Princes and Issey Miyake perfume samples.

That's all for now. Hopefully I could do reviews about these soon. =)

New Purchase!

I just got some of the stuff that I asked my bro-in-law to get for me. I guess I was lucky because someone he knew was going home and he asked if they could bring along my stuff so I can get them sooner. I'm so happy to have received them this early. I thought I'd have to wait for a month or so. =)

It's funny to imagine a guy buying these girly stuff at stores like Sephora, Ulta, etc.. He told me stories at how the sales people would react when they see him. They'd joke and say stuff like "Hi! What are you doing here?!", "These are not for you, right?" in a friendly manner. One of the things I could remember that he replied to them was, "These are for my sister, she's bed ridden and disabled that's why she asked me to get all these for her"... HAHA! My bro-in-law's cool and funny. But of course they didn't believe him. But they thought it was sweet that he's buying stuff for his sister. lol. Anyway, enough rambling. =D Here are the stuff that I got:

1. Too Faced Shadow Insurance
2. Nars Love Set
3. Eco Tools 5 piece brush set
4. Eco Tools Retractable Kabuki
5. NYX Eyeshadow in Black
6. NYX Eyeshadow in Taupe
7. Essence of Beauty Crease Brush Duo

Finally got the Nars Love Set! I never got the chance to check it out at Rustans but the set was almost out of stock at Sephora stores so I had to get it before it's gone. It was a risk without trying it first, I know. But I have no regrets! I love it!

I'm also glad to have the Essence of Beauty Crease Brush Duo, been looking for a crease brush for ages so I'm very excited about it too.

Hopefully, I could post reviews about each of these products soon. =)

New Purchase!

This should've been posted like yonks ago. But anyways, here are the stuff I got last June 12, 2009. During SM's Independence Day sale. So yeah, I went because I wanted to get VMV Hypoallergenics' Armada Face and Body Shield SPF 60. VMV do not usually put discounts on their Armada line but that day it was 10% off. The regular price is PHP 1,380. And I got it for PHP 1,242 (less 138). My Mom and my sister loves this product so I was really excited about it. Sad thing is , it didn't work for me. I got the same tiny red bumps around my nose and also on my chin. I guess it's a sign of irritation or something. *sigh*

Anyway, I also got Maybelline's Clear Smooth Healthy Natural Concealer in Medium Sand. I think it retails for about PHP 425. Please correct me if I'm wrong. I got it at a 10% off too.. I do not regret buying it. I love it. It applies on really smoothly and it doesn't cake at all. So I am a happy happy kitty! =) I saw their little makeup remover (I forgot how much, I think it's around PHP 395 and it's also 10% off) too and I thought I'd try it. It wasn't bad either. It actually works fine just like the L'Oreal Dermo Expertise one. I know I mentioned before that I didn't like L'Oreal Dermo Expertise that much but it's weird. I'll tell you about it on my next post.

I'm kind of in a hurry so I'll be back later with another post. Just an update with my current makeup removers. =)

New purchase plus reviews

I am very excited about my two new purchases! I bought Dove Pro-Age Body Wash and Aveeno Daily Firming Moisturizing Lotion a few days ago. I got them from Duty Free and they cost $5.98 and $9.48, respectively. As you might have noticed, both of them are anti-aging products. =D Well ever since that fine-lines-under- my-eyes incident, I didn't just get obsessed with eye creams but also with most anti-aging skin care products. I've been using these for a couple of days now and I've got reviews for you guys. =)

1.) Dove Pro-Age Body Wash
I was looking around the body wash section when PRO-AGE caught my attention. I immediately got a hold of it and read the detail.

It says:
Created to give your skin back what it needs right now: improved surface cell renewal replenishment of natural lipids. 1/4 moisturizing cream with sunflower seed & olive oils for soft and luminous skin
Pro-age is different. It's commited to making a real difference in your skin's condition - not just today but also tomorrow. How pro-age Beauty Body Wash works. By combining Dove 1/4 moisturising cream and active ingredients at levels that will improve skin surface cell turnover while gently cleansing. Glycerin (5%) to add gydating nourishment and help skin keep it. Natural sunflower seed oil (10%) rich in essential lipids to help strengthen skin's moisture barrier. Olive Oil (1%) to provide additional care to your skin.
Before I decided to buy this one, I was actually quite a bit hesitant. I tried to smell the product from the bottle and I didn't like the scent. Not because it smelled bad, but I just don't like products that smelled too flowery or has a strong scent. But eventually, I purchased it anyway. When I got to use it, I immediately fell in love with it. =) I lather it up using my shower mitt and when I'm done and all dried up, the scent isn't too strong after all. It's just right... And my body feels so soft and smooth. Even without lotion, my body feels moisturized. I actually just took a bath right before I wrote this entry, I hadn't applied lotion yet and my body still feels smooth and moisturzied. I love love love it! Although, I will still apply lotion later, heehee... Anyway, I really hope it would also have a good effect in the future.
Rating: Very good kitty! Meow!

2.) Aveeno Daily Firming Moisturizing Lotion - I heard a lot of good reviews about Aveeno. So I went and looked around to see if I might like something.. I saw this bottle and read about it:
Clinically proven to improve skin's firmness and elasticity. Moisturizes all day long. With mineral peptide complex, natural soy and oatmeal.

Aveeno Daily Firming Moisturizing Lotion goes beyond long-lasting moistrization to naturally help improve your skin's firmness and elasticity. This advanced formula with mineral peptide complex is clinically proven to improve skin texture and provide visibly firmer, resilient skin. The light, non greasy lotion, with natural soy and oatmeal, lovks in moisture so your skin feels softer and smoother all day long. This hypoallergenic formula is even gentle enough for sensitive skin.
I do not have sagging skin or anything =D .. But I decided to try this one anyway, hoping that it'll help my skin in the future. I have used it a couple of times already and I like that it's non-greasy. The texture is rich so one pump is good enough for one leg. The smell is quite strong but it doesn't smell anything like flower. It actually reminds me of a shampoo, I think Head and Shoulders. =D I don't know about the firming effect, but I guess it's okay for a moisturizing body lotion... I don't know if I am going to repurchase, though. The smell kind of turns me off. I might just try other Aveeno products, something that doesn't have strong scent.
Rating: Just a normal little kitty.

That's all for now. I will be doing a review about the Camomile makeup remover from The Body Shop soon. Later! =)

BTW: Anyone interested with VMV Hypoallergenics products, they will have a sale tomorrow. I think it's 25% off plus 10% off if you have your SM advantage card. Though I am not sure if other VMV stores on other malls will have their sale, too.

New purchase and some reviews

Hi everyone! Here are the stuff I have acquired lately.

1.) Revlon Matte Lipstick
2.) Skin Food Nail Polish
3.) The Body Shop Camomile Gentle Eye Make-up Remover

Plus I've purchased Olay Total Effects Night Cream (which I forgot to include in the picture) about 3 weeks ago I think

What I think about them...

By the way, instead of the usual 5 stars rating, I will be using Bad Kitty, Good Kitty, Very Good Kitty, and so on for my rating. LOL. Just for fun. I got that from my nephews. When someone's mean they always say "bad kitty" and I thought it's funny... Anyway okay enough rambling, here's goes my mini review:

1.) Revlon Matte Lipstick in Mauve it over - I went to the mall last Monday and looked around the Health and Beauty corner of the department store. And I was surprised to see that they already have Revlon's Matte Lipstick! Anyways, I originally wanted to try the Nude Attitude shade because I don't have any lipstick with that kind of nude shade yet. I tried it on but it looked like I just ate a whole kilo of dried watermelon seed. LOL. It looked too pale that I don't think it matched my skin tone at all. So yeah, I tried other colors and I ended up liking Mauve it over. It's a neutral pink with a bit of a peach shade and it suites my lip color well. I love how it doesn't dry out my lips as much as my other matte lipstick. It's my new fave lipstick!
Rating: Good Good Kitty

2.) Skin Food Nail Polish - Got them for PHP 185 each. In colors black, red and glittery dark purple. I actually still have my The Face Shop nail polish in black and red but they have become too thick and gooey already. Bad kitty. Is it okay to put a nail polish remover to make it okay again?.. Anyways, about the Skin Food Nail Polish I got, I just bought them yesterday and I haven't tried them out yet. So I can't really rate them yet. I will, next time.=)

3.) The Body Shop Camomile Gentle Eye Make-up Remover - Because The Face Shop has already discontinued their Herb Clear Lip & Eye Make-up Remover (my favorite oil-free make-up remover that I use when I make small corrections on make-up), I thought I'd try this one. The bottle didn't indicate that it's oil-free, so I asked the SA and she said it's oil-free. Hmmm. I just got this today for PHP 405 (original price was PHP 450, 10% off). I will post a review once I have tried it out.

4.) Olay Total Effects Night Cream - I wanted to try a cheaper alternative of an anti-aging moisturizer (for night time). So I got this one from Olay. I think I got it for PHP 695 or PHP 699. It claims to diminish the 7 signs of aging (fine lines, age spots and more). I tried it out the first night and I loved how lightweight this cream is. It didn't leave my skin sticky, instead it felt so smooth. It has a bit of a flowery smell but it's not too overpowering so it's okay.. I was happy about it, so I went on and used it again the next night. The morning I woke up, I noticed tiny red bumps around my nose area and my chin. *sigh*. I thought of giving my skin a break and after a week I tried it out again and it gave the same reaction. I guess this one's not for me. I really wanted it to work but too bad. =(
Rating: Very Bad Kitty

So that's it for now. Til my next post! =)

Fanny Serrano Curler Refill and Angled brush

I am using Shiseido's lash curler and I've asked the Shiseido SA before how much a rubber refill would cost. I think it's around PHP 500-600 (USD $ 10-12) for 2 pcs rubber per pack. Which is just expensive. I really don't need to buy a refill just yet, because I still have one extra. But today at Watson's, I was just looking around when the rubber refills for Fanny Serrano's lash curler caught my eyes. They looked almost the same (or that's what I thought just because they're black) as Shiseido's and I tried it on my lash curler if it would fit, and it did. I bought one pack for PHP 45 I think (USD $ 1). And tried to compare it with my Shiseido rubber when I got home.

So here's how it looks like. The one on top is the Fanny Serrano rubber refill and the one at the bottom is Shiseido's rubber refill. Just by looking at it, you can tell the difference. The Shiseido's slanted and the shape is more curved. And I think it's harder when I try to press it. I actually tried curling my lashes with the Shiseido Curler using the Fanny Serrano rubber. I don't know if I am just being biased but I noticed that it kind of gives me a harsh L shaped lashes instead of the curvy shape. But I think it's kind of okay. But I don't know. I'm not too happy about it. Anyone else tried replacing their Shiseido lash curler with a different brand of rubber refill?

And before I forget, I also got the Fanny Serrano angled brush. I tried using it once when I applied my EDM black eyeliner, it shed a bit but I think it's okay.

Everyday Minerals

My EDM package arrived yesterday (just in time), it came straight to my mail so I didn't have to pick it up from the Post Office. =)

My orders:
1.) Flat top brush
2.) Kabuki brush
3.) Wild Flowers eyeshadow
4.) Casual Friday eyeshadow
5.) In the Garden eyeshadow
6.) I love eyeliners so I got the BLACK eyeliner.

I thought that since I am ordering stuff from them, I might as well get the free sample kit, too. And as you can see, I didn't order any big foundation base, because I wasn't sure what shade I'm supposed to get. Good thing they're giving away free samples, so I could see first how they'd match my skin.

Samples:
1.) Base: Golden Fawn - matte
2.) Base: Golden Winged Butter - matte
3.) Base: Olive Golden Medium - matte
4.) Blush: Salon Fun
5.) Concealer: Multi-Tasking

I tried the bases and swatched them on my forehead. =D The first two bases, didn't match my skintone (I think).. The Golden Fawn seemed a bit lighter for my skin while the Golden Winged Butter was kind of too yellow. And yes, the website's right. It's buttery!.. Anyway, the Olive Golden Medium seemed to match my skin. Although, I think the Golden Light would've matched my skin, too. Because it's in the middle of the two bases that are lighter and darker/yellower for my skin. =p Too bad I didn't get it. Oh well, maybe on my next order. =)

My Attempt: In The Garden Eyeshadow (and BLACK eyeliner)
I usually shy away from shimmery eyeshadows, but people were raving about "In the Garden" so I thought I'd give it a go. I got pretty excited about it so I tried it on immediately.. And I loved it. It's very pigmented. It's shimmery but it still looks natural.

I also tried on the black eyeliner. At first, I tried putting it on without adding water. But some fell under my eyes, so I tried putting a tinsy bit of water and it worked fine. It's sooo black I love it! <3

And oh, the brushes! They are lovely! So soft.. My Mom wants them, too. LOL.

I love freebies, but I didn't get any freebie from my order (well aside from the sample kit). Boohoo! =(

I hope I am not allergic to them or anything. Because I heard some people are. Which is too bad because so far I think these are pretty good products... We'll see. I haven't tried the other stuff yet.

New purchase!!

Nivea Lip Care in SPF 30 and Neutrogena Deep Clean Invigorating Dual Action Toner

1.) Nivea Lip Care - SPF 30 & Vitamin E

Price: PHP 92.00 / USD $ 2.00

I got myself Nivea's Lip Care in SPF 30. I have been eyeing on this for quite a while now but I always tried to stop myself from getting it, since I still have a couple of lip balms. But none of them has this much SPF. The current lip balm I'm using is ChapStick Classic and it only has SPF 4.. So yeah, I've considered getting this especially now that it's summer. I guess I'd be needing more protection for my lips and I don't think SPF 4 is enough. So I finally got it. Yay!
Description from package:

Lip Care Sun protects the lips relaibly against intense sun rays and prevents them from moisture loss.
The caring Lip Care Sun formula with SPF 30, nourishing Shea Butter and protective Vitamin E:
  • Guarantees long-lasting UV-protection even from intense sun rays

I have tried it on and I think it's nice. Not too sticky but moisturizing. And it also has a light scent of banana? Or maybe it's lemon. I don't know, it's difficult to tell because the scent's pretty light. =)

Neutrogena Deep Clean Invigorating Dual Action Toner

I did mention before that I have been religiously using Clinique's 3-step system for years now. I already ran out of my liquid facial wash and my clarifying lotion is totally running out, too. Just 1-2 more use and it's all done. =( My brother's in Canada right now, visiting his gf. =D And I asked him to get me a new set because it's cheaper there. Teeheehee... But since he won't be back home anytime soon, I decided to try Neutrogena's Invigorating Foam Wash. I love the cooling action. =) Since the foam wash was good, I decided to get the Neutrogena Deep Clean Invigorating Dual Action Toner as well. So perfect for summer!

Description from package:

Cleans deep in your pores and leaves your skin feeling energized, for a lasting refreshing feel. Naturally derived aloe and chamomile soothe skin to prevent over-drying.

This unique toner works in 2 ways:
1. Cleans deep: the tingly formula penetrates deep into pores to completely clean away dirt and oil.
2. Tightens pores: the tingly surfe of invigoration gives you tighter feeling pores and seals the sensation.

I am pretty excited about this. I haven't tried it yet, because I still have an ickle amount left from my Clinique clarifying lotion. But I probably am gonna be able to start using this by Monday. I hope it works well. =)
